Peter Franklyn is the Director and Principal Consultant of Franklyn Work Safety. Peter has worked in injury prevention and OHS management since 2002. He began in OHS, working with Centrelink, starting as a state health and safety coordinator, before progressing to a National Advisor position. Peter then held the role of Health and Safety Coordinator with the Department of Corrective Services WA for 6 years. Peter was responsible for the development of the OSH Management System to be applied across WA’s prison and community corrections services. Over the time he was with DCS, the system evolved to a point where it was independently assessed as scoring above 85% under the WorkSafe Plan for the final two years Peter was with the Department. Peter began doing private consulting work in 2005, whilst continuing to maintain internal OHS Coordinator roles, before entering full time private consulting in mid 2013. Over the years, Peter has provided consultancy services for public and private sector organisations including the Department of Education, Department of Communities (Housing), Department of Agriculture, Department of Communities (Disability Services), VenuesWest, Lotterywest as well as numerous independent and catholic schools.
Louise Bell is currently the resident Senior Consultant for Franklyn Work Safety in our Mid West Gascoyne branch, and is based in Carnarvon. Louise has been working as an Occupational Therapist since 2002. She has extensive knowledge in manual handling and ergonomics. Her professional experience covers a range of clinical areas including developmental disability and delays, physical disabilities, community rehabilitation, hand and upper limb rehabilitation, complex seating and positioning, and community mental health. She began her career in Carnarvon and has since worked in Karratha, Port Hedland, Perth and London. Louise has worked for the Department of health for over 8 years, and has also worked in the private non for profit Disability sector.
Franklyn Work Safety also maintains a pool of specialist consultants to assist with the provision of our services by providing specific hazard and work environment expertise. All Associate Consultants hold Professional level qualifications and experience in the area of service provision they are involved.
